Changes Not Expected for Upcoming H-1B Season

Some welcome news for those gearing up to participate in the upcoming FY2019 H-1B visa lottery: USCIS Service Center Operations says there are no expected changes to filing procedures.  Despite fears that a pre-registration system would be implemented, creating a new step that could delay case submission, the Service confirmed that no such plans are in the works.

Premium processing for non-cap H-1B petitions is expected to continue without interruption.  However, as seen in recent years, a short suspension of premium processing for H-1B cap-subject petitions is likely.
